Dear Aqua Customer:
This is an important notice from Aqua sent Friday, June 4, 2021. Aqua will be conducting its annual system-wide hydrant flushing and maintenance program beginning Monday, June 7, 2021. All fire hydrants will be flushed and inspected to ensure proper operation. It is anticipated that it will take 2 weeks to complete the flushing and inspection of all fire hydrants in this region. Aqua’s hydrant flushing and inspection program is designed to improve water quality and ensure that fire hydrants will operate correctly when needed. An Aqua representative will work each weekday at different locations throughout the distribution system until all hydrants are flushed. During the flushing program, customers may experience decreased water pressure or temporary water discoloration. Discoloration can be eliminated by running cold water for a few minutes until it clears.
