Clean Up Day – October 21, 2017

7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

 Village of Philo residents only.

Patrons will be required to show proof of residency. 

Dumpsters will be available at the Premier Coop (elevator) lot located at the northeast corner of East Washington & Adams Streets. 

Items that cannot be put in the dumpsters:

  • Tires
  • Batteries (see recycling below)
  • Paint
  • Motor Oil
  • Propane Tanks
  • Acid or Alkaline Products
  • Any other Hazardous Materials
  • Grass clippings, brush or other yard debris

HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED 

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED FOR RECYCLING

  • Household Batteries, other than installed in equipment
  • Polychlorinated Biphyenyls (PCBs) or any equipment containing PCBs (generally pre-1979)
  • Microwaves that contain PCBs
  • Thermostats, Barometers, Mercury Switches & Relays
  • Can Openers, Toaster Ovens, Coffee Makers, Toasters, Some Detectors
  • Refrigerators, Freezers, Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers or any unit containing Freon
  • Stoves, Washer/dryers, Garbage Compactors, Dishwashers, Kitchen white goods
  • Fluorescent Lighting or Ballasts
  • Desk Office Furniture of Lighting
  • Lab and Hospital equipment/devices that contain fluids, oil, mercury or radioactive material
  • Biohazards – for example, medical waste including any needles 

ITEMS ACCEPTED FOR RECYCLING

  • Computers, Printers, Copiers, Monitors, Keyboards, Speakers, Mouse devices, Cables
  • Televisions, VCRs Radios, Stereo Equipment, Tape Recorders, Record Players, Walkman’s
  • Networking Equipment, Hubs, Switches, Routers, Cables
  • Video Recorders, Video Monitors, Security Systems
  • CB Radios, Cell Phones, Pagers, PDAs
  • Cash Registers, Typewriters, Adding Machines, Calculators
  • Software, CDROM/Floppy Disc, Cables, Cords
  • UPSs, Surge Strips
  • Scanners, Digital Cameras, MP3 Players, Electronic Keyboards
  • Computer parts/components, Rechargeable Batteries
  • Cables / Wire Aluminum
  • Racks / Carts
  • Lab and Hospital devices and test equipment (excluding any equipment/devices that contain fluids, oil, mercury or radioactive material)
  • Microwaves – Non-PCB containing ONLY (generally manufactured after 1979)
